Blog: Hobbs in flying form heading into the festive season

Philip Hobbs and his team are in great form this season with his chasers showing a 19 percent strike rate (20/12/13), and there is plenty more to look forward to over the festive season.

Earlier this month the Amlin Plus sponsored trainer notched up six winners in two days, at Chepstow and Aintree on 7 December and Warwick on 8 December.

With four winners since, he is looking to add to the tally at Kempton on Boxing Day, where he will have four runners, including Menorah who is a likely starter Grade 1 William Hill King George VI.  The Hobbs yard will also have runners at Huntingdon and Wincanton on Boxing Day.

We look forward to following the successes of the Philip Hobbs yard and his Amlin Plus sponsored stable jockeys Richard Johnson and Tom O’Brien over the festive period and the remainder of the season.
